Alina Ozerova originates from Moscow (1983) and since 2011 is based in Amsterdam. Alina is a filmmaker and sound artist. Her video works, soundtracks and sonic installations are inspired by 'journey' as a narrative structure and physical experience: involuntary travels, evacuation routes, memory circuits and motion of sound. Her education includes degrees in sociology (Higher School of Economics, Moscow) and audiovisual arts (Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam), she also studied film (San Francisco Art Institute) and sound (KASK, Gent).
Her works were exhibited at a number of film festivals and exhibitions (The Netherlands, Russia, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Poland, Finland, France, Slovenia, Croatia, Iceland). Since 2013 Alina is collaborating with FEST: New Directors / New Films Festival (Portugal) as short films programmer.
Artist's studio is located in LELY Broedplaats, Schipluidenlaan 12, Amsterdam.
